Seeds for Change specialise in participative and dynamic training tailored to meet your organisation's needs.

We don't just facilitate training in campaign skills. We understand that successful movements, networks and groups rely on people working together effectively, so we deliver a range of capacity building courses for a range of techniques, such as Experiential Team Building, Facilitating Effective Meetings and Working by Consensus.

Experienced Seeds for Change trainers are also available for those situations when an outside facilitator can bring clarity - whether for visioning exercises, or for important meetings.

What workshops can we do ?

We like to work closely with groups and organisations to develop training based on individual needs. This means we don't have a set list of workshops that we do. To give you an idea of what we can do we've listed some themes and topics below.

Capacity Building and Internal Communication
Building consensus and motivation - consensus decision-making; improving organisational democracy and experiential team-building.
Facilitating effective discussions, meetings, and strategy sessions.
Experiential Team Building - customised outdoor action learning that uses inclusive physical challenges to develop team learning, co-operation and co-ordination skills.

Seeds for Change can help you turn your group's visions into reality - guidance and support on deciding structures and management styles through to registering and running your co-op or social enterprise.


Training the Trainer
Training in how to design and facilitate your own workshops and training courses.


Using Information and Communications Technology
IT Audits and Developing an ICT strategy - our ICT support staff are also experienced facilitators - we have the skills and experience to help your organisation develop an ICT strategy that fits your your workers' and volunteers' needs and your group's aims and requirements.
Using Free and Open Source Software (Linux et al) - for both users and technicians.
Low cost computing - ready for a hardware upgrade? Needing a new server? We can provide advice, training, setup and support on converting your old machines into efficient (and fast) servers and desktops using Free and Open Source Software.

Seeds for Change offers a Facilitation Service for strategic reviews and visioning sessions; campaign strategy discussions; and meetings both large and small.

Practical workshops on a sustainability theme

In addition to group process and campaign related training we can also provide practical workshops on various low-impact technologies - such as micro-renewable energy supplies, 12v electrics and bio-fuels

Information Technology

Organisations large and small can benefit from Information Technology - whether it's a static website or web-based tools to help you organise, Free & Open Source Software on the desktop or server, or time to make your IT systems work for you by developing an IT Strategy - we can help. We provide advice, training and support on all the above and more - just ask if you don't see what you want.

What does it cost ?

Our rates, like our workshops, are tailored to your needs. The price will vary according to how many trainers you require, and exactly what training we will be doing with you. We also operate a sliding scale based on your organisation's income and training needs.
